Personal Data Handling on the Slotlounge Information Pages

Three outside parties touch the data of a reader of these pages: a hosting provider, an analytics provider where one is enabled, and an email service. This policy follows each of them in turn and then sets out what the editorial team itself keeps and what readers may ask of it.

1. Responsibility

1.1 The editorial team

The editorial team of the Slotlounge information pages (the Publication) decides why and how personal data is processed through these pages and is the controller. The Publication is independent of the casino Slotlounge.

1.2 What lies outside this policy

Data typed into the casino’s registration form, cashier or live chat belongs to the casino and falls under its own policy. This policy covers visits to the Publication’s pages and messages sent to the editorial address, and it was last updated on 12 October 2026.

2. The hosting provider

2.1 What it holds

The host stores the pages and writes server logs containing the IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page, browser type and device type. It acts as a processor under a contract that limits its use of the data to the service it provides.

2.2 Purpose, basis and retention

Logs keep the site running and protect it from abuse. The legal basis is legitimate interest, and logs are kept for up to 90 days.

2.3 Why the host sees what it sees

A web host cannot deliver a page without receiving the technical details of the request, which is why the log fields listed above are unavoidable for any reader who opens a page. The Publication reads the logs only to investigate a fault or an abuse report.

3. The analytics provider

3.1 What it receives

Where analytics are enabled, a provider receives pseudonymised page-view data and returns aggregated figures on page views and session length. Those figures are kept in aggregated form only, and the provider never receives the content of messages sent to the editors.

3.2 Cookies and consent

Necessary cookies keep the pages working, for example by remembering a cookie choice. Analytics cookies are set only with consent where the law requires it, and consent can be withdrawn at any time in the browser or through the consent banner. The legal basis for analytics is consent where required.

4. The email service and the editors

4.1 What is held

A reader who writes to the editors supplies an email address, a name if one is given, and the text of the message with any attachment. The email service holds this correspondence, access is limited to the editors, and messages are not used for advertising. The basis for answering is legitimate interest or the request of the reader.

4.2 What not to send

The Publication does not ask for payment card details, identity documents, passwords or casino account credentials, and readers are asked not to send them. Data of a minor found in a message is deleted, because the Publication is intended for adults of legal gambling age.

4.3 How long it is kept

Correspondence is kept for the time needed to resolve the matter and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless the law requires longer.

4.4 Writing from a shared address

A reader who writes from an address that others can read, for example a shared mailbox, should be aware that the reply will go to that address and that the Publication cannot check who has access to it. Where a message contains information the reader would not want others to see, it is better to say so in the first line and to leave out details that are not needed to answer.

5. Sharing, transfers and security

5.1 Who else receives data

Beyond the three providers above, data is passed on only to authorities where the law demands it, which is the legal obligation basis. Embedded third-party content is not used; if it is added, this policy is amended and the consent mechanism extended before it is activated. A link to the casino leaves the Publication, and the casino applies its own privacy rules.

5.2 Processing abroad

Where a provider processes data outside the reader’s country, the Publication relies on contractual safeguards recognised by the applicable law.

5.3 Protection and breaches

Access to stored data is limited to the editors, connections to the pages are encrypted and providers must apply suitable technical and organisational measures. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so readers should not send sensitive documents. If a breach is likely to put readers at risk, the Publication notifies the competent authority within the period the law sets and informs the readers concerned without undue delay.

6. Rights, changes and contact

6.1 Rights of readers

Depending on the country of residence, a reader may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, may object to processing and may withdraw consent. A complaint can be lodged with the data protection authority of the country of residence. The Publication takes no decisions by automated means and does no profiling that produces legal effects.

6.2 Changes to this policy

Changes are published on this page with a new date. A material change is announced on the pages at least 30 days before it takes effect, and a reader who disagrees with it should stop using the pages and may ask for deletion of the correspondence held about them.

6.3 Writing to the editors

Requests under this policy are sent to [email protected].
